Economic mission to Portugal

From 10 to 13 May 2022, Jiway was part of the Luxembourg economic delegation that accompanied the official and state visit of the Grand Ducal couple to Portugal.

On the initiative of the Portuguese Investment and Foreign Trade Agency (AICEP), the Luxembourg Ministry of Economy and supported by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, the Luxembourg-Portugal economic cooperation mission, which took place from 10 to 13 May 2022 in Lisbon and Porto, was an opportunity for Jiway to meet many potential partners and clients.

In total, 127 participants and a context of networking privileged by the historically known Luxembourg-Portugal connection. A very interesting business trip during which the Luxembourgish participants were also able to establish links and develop new Luxembourgish partnerships.

Jiway is pleased to have been able to participate in an event specially designed for start-ups in Lisbon: “Interconnected Ecosystems: Drivers of Entrepreneurial Innovation” and in internal working meetings, in the presence of ministers.

The trip was also an opportunity for Jiway to keep abreast of the main topics of the moment, which are relevant for the company’s strategic development: “The digital economy of tomorrow” or “Sustainable construction”.

Post-COVID: what has changed

For many companies, the global health crisis has led to a sharp drop in business. COVID-19 pandemic is of course the leading risk to economic growth. At Jiway, we had to face some challenges to avoid impacting the business too abruptly.

Innovation was even more important than usual. During the COVID-19 period, Jiway has implemented a new module of its MozaIK application suite for one of its clients: a Core Banking System, available for human-sized banks. Innovation is indeed one of the main issues that had to be raised to meet the challenge set by the global pandemic.

In addition, and as for many economic players, a reorganization of work was obviously also necessary: teleworking, new collaborative tools, new management methods. Jiway still has the same habits today.

“We also wanted to moove our offices,” explains Luc Charlier, CEO of Jiway. “Most of our team is Belgian, so we moved closer to the border, to Windhof, and have offices in the SolarWind building, a real example to follow in terms of eco-responsible buildings in Luxembourg”. This complicated period also revealed important environmental issues. In this context, and always with a view to improving, adapting and reorganizing its business, Jiway obtained the ESR label in 2021. On the strength of these various successes and despite a general drop in activity, Jiway has been able to reinvent itself and meet these challenges.

CSR Label: Jiway continues on its course of digitalization in the service of sustainable development

In the context of the responsible business promotion by the INDR, Jiway has received the CSR label. Indeed, Jiway places its CSR policy at the heart of its development strategy and continues its course of digitalization. For more than 15 years, Jiway has been developing software and application solutions for digitization and supporting its clients in their digital transformation.

“It is therefore nothing new for us to place these environmental and social issues at the very heart of our business model”, says Luc Charlier.

The objectives are multiple. It is first and foremost a question of committing to an environmentally responsible approach. The evolution of the MozaIK solution is proof of this: the solution which have been developed almost 20 years ago for the publication of “beautiful financial reports” has become a collaborative digital platform, allowing interaction between all stakeholders of an organization, the centralization of all data relating to this organization and the digitization of documents related to the company’s business life.

The second issue is to offer its customers a solution allowing them a new organization of work, not only in favor of sustainable development but also for individuals and for enhancing their user experience. The aim is to provide them with an optimization of their work time.

Furthermore, Jiway has established an internal policy on whose behalf a charter has been drawn up, presenting employees with 8 business ethics principles that everyone is committed to respecting.

Jiway is really proud to belong to the first network of CSR professionals in Luxembourg.

Ms. Ana BRNABIĆ, Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and the Serbian official delegation visited Jiway

This Tuesday, September 10, during their two-day official visit to Luxembourg and in the context of digital transformation, Ms. Ana BRNABIĆ, Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Ms. Marina JOVIĆEVIĆ, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to the Diplomatic World, Mr. Philippe DONCKEL, Ambassador to the Republic of Serbia and Mr. Marko ČADEŽ, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia have met Luc CHARLIER, Managing Partner & Executive Director of Jiway.

Jiway has become a model of economic cooperation between these two countries by establishing one of its subsidiaries in Novi Sad in 2016.

It was therefore an honor for Luc Charlier and Igor Juric (Administration & Sales Manager – Southeast Europe of Jiway) to welcome the delegation in the Jiway’s offices for presenting the business of Jiway and future projects.

MozaIK is made in Luxembourg for more than 15 years and has been received today – as a rewardfor having made a good job since then –,the coveted label “Made in Luxembourg”.

MozaIK 2020 : A digital platform new generation in Luxembourg

Jiway has officially launched last 23rd May with its clients and partners, the new version of its MozaIK solution. Several variants of the application are already implemented for a long time in different Private Banks, in the traditional telephone operator of Grand-Duchy and in Total Luxembourg – among many others.

Forced into silence by the confidentiality of its developments, its teams work every day for the implementation of the solution for many Luxemburgish and international key players.

Jiway didn’t wait the enthusiasm that we know today about digitization for supporting its client’s digital transformation. Jiway has become highly specialised in the documents dematerialization; historically in the financial reporting and now in the general document mass production for companies coming from different business sectors.

Jiway has entirely redesigned its application in order to meet client requests and market needs. A UI/UX expert has rethought the platform for enhancing the User Experience. Beyond a simple B2B web application, Jiway has created a real « B2B2C » ecosystem: users can then share their information with all their business shareholders. Thus, the environment is opened to a second level of use. This greatly increases the exchange of information and data centralization in an ultra-secured environment, thanks to LuxTrust solutions, a European trust service provider and the first partner of Jiway in Europe.
